October 22, 2011 - Saturday.

Sorry dear followers. It has been an enormous time since I've last posted anything. Please forgive me for that, a few momentous things have happened in this time period.

I finished writing Dearly Departed Deceased Dingies and am polishing it. Working on the third of my novels in the Flickertail Saga (Snow Flower and Tehya's Tree). Still submitting erotic poetry.

I made several new online friends. One is in England and he answers my questions about my erotic poetry and I critique his. I have a local friend that I hang out with either Saturday or Sunday. We watch TV and talk.

On August 25 I had my yearly physical. On September 13 drank the prep stuff of my colonoscopy. On September 14 I had my colonoscopy. They found a hemmorhoid that we are doctoring for.

Started painting in oil again.

On Friday - September 23, Kent, Heather, Mark (Heather's friend) and I went to the Shadowbox Theater. It was a good night for all of us.

I was called by my doctor and informed that they had set me up with an appointment with a kidney specialist. Evidently my creatinine level was high. I had an appointment with him on September 28. He took a urine sample and blood samples. He said my kidneys were working at 30%. He set me up an appointment for October 6 for an ultrasound of my kidneys and bladder. On October 11 Dr. McClaurin's office called to tell me they were scheduling me an appoint to have an MRI done of my liver because they found a lesion/cysts.

On October 16 I began chatting with a friend in Germany, his name is Jorge Schiller. He's a nice guy.

On Thursday, October 20, I had my MRI done. On Monday, October 24 I get the results of all my tests. Hopefully we will find out what's going on, how to treat it (if possible), and get started to fix what we can. Also on that Monday, Kent starts culinary school and Heather starts her second job.

Depending on what I find out on Monday I will try to keep this blog up to date.

It has been a long, long time since I've posted here. A lot has happened. I was in the hospital in mid-June due to my heart. They ran me through every test they could think of including another cardio-cath. All of my arteries were clear. My heart valves hadn't changed. Nothing seemed amiss. The brain scan that they did showed that there was scar tissue indicating a stroke, but it was an old scar. The upshot of this four day hospital visit was that they took me off of digoxin and coumanin. My heart sinus rhythm was back to normal and I no longer had atrial defib.

The day I went home a man that I had talked to on the internet and on the phone decided to come an met me face-to-face. He was on the front porch when we got home. He swept me off my feet. Right away we were engaged even though I wanted to not move that speedily. We spend a lot of time together and we seemed to get along. As you know I have medical issues and so did he. He had had several surgeries on his feet and one foot had metal in it that was being rejected. Well to make this story short...we broke up two months later. He cited his medical problem. He had been told that they were going to do surgery on both feet and there was a chance that he would be confined to a wheelchair for the rest of his life and he didn't want to put me through that.

As fast as he entered my life the faster he left me. In retrospect however, I was relieved that we were no longer getting married. I felt that I had to watch every thing I said because he would get upset for no visible reason. He didn't want to be touched on the back because his parents would beat him for things he said he didn't do. So, when he told me for medical reasons I agreed with him and told him to stay in touch. He hasn't.

So I'm "healthy" according to my primary care doctor, my cardiologist, and a "nurse" that I report to at the "Heart Health Program". I'm still doing Curves and of late getting caught up to date on things I haven't been keeping up on, like this blog.

I've fallen back into old habits....late again!

Friday, May 27, 2011 - Updated this blog and posted a poem. Did some knitting. Talked to Jesse for a while. Chatted with a friend.

Saturday, May 28, 2011 - Did some knitting. Chatted with two friends. Then Kent, Heather, and I went out to dinner and then to the movies to see "Pirates of the Caribbean an Stranger Tides".

Sunday, May 29, 2011 - Was a very quiet day. Napped off and on throughout the day. Chatted with a friend.

Monday, May 30, 2011 - Did some laundry. Kent cooked out and we invited Debbie, Michael, and Kevin over to join us. We had a great time. They are without a doubt the best neighbors. They helped me a lot with Stephen. Heather did a little weeding for me.

Tuesday, May 31, 2011 - Had my cardiology appointment this morning. They ran an EKG, then he came in and did a neck massage. I was hooked up to the EKG machine at ankles and wrists and he pressed one at a time the vein that goes to my brain (lol). I was told I had atrial fibrillation. He took me off of my Pacerone and put me on Digoxin. He told me to get my coumadin (INR) done monthly. He wants it between 2 and 3. I was told it would take six weeks for the one med to leave my system and the other med to take hold. I'm to go back to him in six weeks and get an electrical shock to get my heartbeat back in sync. When Heather got home we went to Krogers and got the Digoxin script filled while we waited.

Wednesday, June 1, 2011 - Did some knitting. Got the trash together. We have a nest of cardinals in the fern hanging outside. Heather keeps checking on them. I chatted with a friend. Talked with Franklin.

Thursday, June 2, 2011 - Chatted with a friend and just goofed off the rest of the day. Plus I took a nap.

Friday, June 3, 2011 - Posted a poem online. Had a teleconference with my Aetna nurse. I had a lot to share with her. Chatted with a friend. Talked with Franklin.

Saturday, June 4, 2011 - Went and had my blood drawn for my INR check. Did some laundry. I can't wait for these meds to take hold. I'm so tired and breathless.

Sunday, June 5, 2011 - Chatted with a friend. We went out for a late breakfast. Then we went to the movies and saw "X-Men: First Class" Great movie! Next we went to KMart and bought some clothing for Heather and I. Then before we went home we had Taco Bell for dinner. I had just gotten home when Franklin called. We talked for quite a while.

Monday, June 6, 2011 - Went to Curves for the first time in two weeks. Didn't do a heck of a lot for the rest of the day except sleep. My heart was beating hard and rapid before we went to Curves. Chatted with a friend.

That catches us up for the time being.

Don't faint! I know, twice in one week! Just trying to get back on track.

Tuesday, May 24, 2011 - Still on no vitamins, aspirin, and coumanin. Made the solution, with cherry flavoring, so it can chill for a day or so before needing to drink it. I caught this blog up to today...woo hoo! Talked to Jesse three different times today. He was at the dentist to get the second half of his cleaning done. Talked to a friend today as well.

Wednesday, May 25, 2011 - Still on no vitamins, aspirin, and coumanin, plus nothing but liquids all day. Clear liquids and a gallon of nasty prep goop. Had to take two laxative pills. Yummy! Got the trash mostly together before the drink goop run to bathroom routine began. By bedtime I was bleeding a lot but no longer shitting. Yay!

Thursday, May 26, 2011 - Got up to take my shower found I was still bleeding. As I finished my shower and was getting dressed my breathing deteriorated dramatically and my heart was beating so rapidly it made my body shake. I sat down on the bed and tried to center myself. That helped a lot. Heather, Kent, and I got in the car and we went to the Central Ohio Surgery Center for my procedure. I got signed in. Heather took off for work and Kent made himself comfortable in the waiting room. I was ushered back to the prep room, got into their open in the back/front gown, onto the bed. The nurse took my blood pressure which was good. My oxygen level was 98 but my pulse was high and rapid. She told me she would let the anesthesiologist know this and see what he says. He wanted an EKG ran. This EKG was compared to one from March 29, 2011 and there was a "gap" in one of the rhythms so they were cancelling my procedure. I was given the EKG and told to take it to my cardiologist and see what he had to say. I was told to go home and resume my medications immediately. While waiting for Heather to come pick us up I called Dr. Pattison and explained what had happened and they made an appointment for me for Tuesday, May 31 at 9:30 a.m.. I ate and took my meds when I got home. Then I went to bed for a while. My heart was still beating like it wanted to escape my chest. I called Franklin to let him know what had transpired. We talked for over an hour and a half. I chatted with two other friends.

That's it for now.

P.S. - Can you have P.S.'s on a blog? Who cares it's MY blog.

1. - Co-incident? - Forest Lawn Cemetery called me on Wednesday. It was Frankie and she wanted to let me know they were having special deals on caskets, etc. I told her I wasn't planning on seeing her this weekend, but not to worry. I explained what I was going to be doing the next day and we got a chuckle out of her timing.

2. - Heather told the receptionist at the Central Ohio Surgery Center when the receptionist said the procedure would take 15 minutes and recovery half an hour, that she didn't know my mother. She was always different. (Note: Heather had just gotten to work when Kent called her for a teleconference with the nurse telling her they were cancelling the procedure.) When we were headed home it was mentioned that I sure was different.
